i am helping a friend out that has dialup. she needs to view the info from her company site from home, but only gets ~ 2KBb/s from her isp and there are large pdfs on the site. i told her i would rip it and put it on a disc thinking it was no big deal as i have done it for her numerous times in the past with other sites.

i have the u/p for the site, but the way you log into the site is not the normal pop-up box. it asks for the u/p from within the page and the page is a .cfm file.

both httrack and teleport pro don't work with this type of login. any ideas as to what would?

thanks in advance ;)

It sounds like the site is encoded in a way that you can't easily rip it from the 'user' side. If she really does need to access the whole site content from a remote copy, ask the admin of the site for an offline copy she can use. If it's not against company policy, they'll probably help her out. If it IS against policy (secure site, restricted info, etc.) and they say no, you'll know she shouldn't be doing it anyway...

i looked at the code and the site uses the post method instead of the get method. teleport pro doesn't like the post method and httrack can do it a little better, but still a pain in the arse. i will probably suggest what you said...
