Need to replace my P5K

I'm on my 2nd P5K Deluxe, both of which have had the no post problem.
Asus refuses to send me a different model replacement motherboard, so I'm considering boycotting them for another board to house my Q6600 and Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory.

I'm only planning on running one video card, and one harddrive. Built in wifi would be nice, but I'm willing to skip that features since it looks like there aren't many board with this feature.

I guess I should be looking at the P45 mobos.

Any suggestions?

No post? As in "not even a blinking cursor?" I'm the cat of curiosity -- What did you do to kill those boards?

I haven't killed anything. It still works, but not always. This board seems to have a problem not setting the ram voltage in time.

It's not just me:

I would be interested to hear what you decide on. I have three P5K Deluxe models running here at the office and one of them randomly died from the no post problem. I rma'd this board 5 times until I finally lost it on them and they sent me a brand new one....but a P5K Deluxe. This one is running fine but my long time relationship with ASUS is in serious question now. I didn't know until this episode that when you sent your board back in they simply sent you a re qualified board. One guy I talked to there indicated "we plug'em up and if the boot they go right back out, if not they start checking things"!

Great!

The last recertified board I got had an adhesive backed "X" back plate from an aftermarket cooler on it. Yeah I got that off......

I am not impressed with them!
