I'll be replacing my 25yr + furnace soon. Anyone have recommendations? I'm probably going to go with a 92+ unit although I believe the Energy Star credit would apply to 90+.

Energy Start Furnaces Key Product Criteria
Equipment Specification
Gas Furnaces Key Product Criteria Rating of 90% AFUE* or greater
Oil Furnaces Key Product Criteria Rating of 85% AFUE or greater

Note: the ENERGY STAR specification for furnaces is intended for models installed and used in residences

Furnace:
A heating unit with a heat input rate of less than 225,000 Btu per hour whose function is the combustion of fossil fuel for space heating with forced hot air. Unit must include burner(s), heat exchanger(s), blower(s) and connections to heating ducts. A heating unit that meets this definition and also provides hot water for domestic or other use may be considered a furnace for purposes of this agreement.
AFUE:
The Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) measures the amount of fuel converted to space heat in proportion to the amount of fuel entering the furnace. This is commonly expressed as a percentage. For purposes of this agreement, the efficiency of a furnace shall be measured using AFUE. Test procedures have been developed to test AFUE by the Department of Energy (DOE). These procedures are specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulations part 430, Appendix N.

Check with your gas company too! I know here in NY, National Fuel is offering 200 or 300 dollar rebates.

All four of those brands you got prices on are good equipment. I do know that Heil's are relatively easy to work on though -- I don't have experience with the others.

thanks GregGreen

I think I'm being convinced to go with a 95+ model... there is a tax credit available for 30% of the install up to 1500 total; but I believe this only applies for 95+ models.
