I just cracked the 14" TFT LCD on my fairly new Toshiba Laptop (Model 1005-S157) and would like to know if anyone has replaced a laptop LCD Before. Specifically, What are my Options? I am pretty sick about the damage but it was all an accident and would prefer to get it fixed. The lcd is still working but it is not a pretty sight. Thanks

They are fairly easy to replace.

If you have any mechanical ability, and take care, it is not a big deal.

The Big Deal is the Expense.
Your Best Bet is looking on eBay for a used Panel.
Open it up, get the panel model number (they used Sharp, LG, Fujitsu panels)

The go here:

The Panel # is generally found on a sticker on the
panel of the panel itself or molded into the back of the panel.
