Kinda got F'd at the last minute here, heading out for vacation tomorrow and laptop just broke'd. Any idea how I can rent a laptop for a few days? Crappiest laptop available will do :D - Rent-a-center's are all closed and I don't know who else rents out laptops.

(or if anyone's in Tucson just let me borrow yours :D)

why not go to intenet cafe in Tucson? Most hotels have computers you can use anyway.

If you are truly going on vacation than this is a blessing in disguise.

You could "rent" one from Bestbuy by purchasing one and then returning it. They'll charge you a 15% restocking fee.

I've got a cheap older inspirion, if you want to rent it and have me ship it to you somewhere. Works fine, great charge, disc drive doesn't function.

vacation + laptop? no.

if you need internet access, just go to a best buy and use their ipads. i think they're unrestricted anyway. i used it to look up prices and browse 4chan in the store :awe:.

"broke'd"? Seriously?

Not seriously. Gotta have fun with grammar sometimes :D - Especially if it irks someone.

No one ever rented a laptop eh? I actually did a few years back and it was pretty expensive. I assume the prices have come down since laptops are pretty cheap overall nowadays.

That's why you have two laptops. I always keep a spare laptop around in case I need it. I've needed it multiple times, trust me.

If I got a laptop @ costco would it be like start up-n-go or would I have to install windows on it and all that shiz? Would rather just rent one. Costco's probably closed anyways :p

wtf, when is the last time you got a laptop that is not start up and go?

PS what you are thinking of doing is highly un-ethical.

Ahah, I actually have verrrrry little experience with laptops. I'm a PC guy all the way. Not like the guy in the commercials though.

i just don't see, it, any rental fees would rapidly approach the cost of a laptop..even a cheap one. expensive ones probably not worth it either unless you have a company footing the bill, i know they do rent higher end desktops for video editing and stuff.

Yeah it's so hilarious that I called my computer a PC as the opposite of a laptop harharhar

I'm pretty sure when PC is mentioned home computer 90% of people think of the standard monitor/keyboard/case setup and not a laptop.

Semantics man...semantics.

Anyways, thanks a lot for all the help *super roll eyes* - But I probably just shouldn't have asked in the first place. Since I'm in a bind I might just have to rent one even though the rental fees would approach the cost of a laptop like you say. Only for 4 days though.
