Need to rent a cheap car in Denver that I can sleep in.

I'm taking a trip out to Denver and I would like to rent a cheaper car that has a fold down rear seat that could possibly allow me to sleep in it. I personally have a Honda Fit and I can sleep in it just fine because the wonderful rear seats fold down totally flat.

Any options?

Go to the rental place and ask them to show you how the rear seats fold. Also don't forget to crack your windows because otherwise you'll suffocate in a modern relatively airtight car

wow, slept in the back of a Fit? I don't know how you...fit. my suggestion would be a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I've slept in mine a few times. the rear seats fold down to create a nice big deck. There is tons of room for you and all your stuff.

is a win. I've slept in my 3 hatch several times, but if you're taller than 5'9" you won't be able to lie flat.

When are you flying in and for how long.

What part of Denver will you be around

You can get a room for pretty cheap depending on what part of Denver you are going to be in.

I'm going to be coming in on Tuesday, but I want to drive around for 4 or so days and save money by not doing motels/hotels. I've slept in cars plenty of times. I've slept in my Honda Fit for literally 2 months straight before. I'm 5'5".

I was thinking about just getting a small Chevy Aveo for $20 a day. $20 a day for transportation, plus a place to sleep, ain't bad.

Companies don't rent Honda Fits or Mazda 3s or Subaru Outbacks. Bah.

I have no problem sleeping on the ground and camping as well, but I've heard that April weather is a little spotty in the Denver area. I'll be hovering around Denver, Boulder, and Estes Park probably. Camping and hiking and maybe looking at investment property.

I crack my windows, but not because of this reason. Cracking the windows means you don't have condensation (or frozen condensation) on the inside of your windows when you wake up and you don't have to spend 10min just sitting there waiting for your windshield to defrost.

Best solution cost wise would be to get a vehicle for a week from Enterprise.

Look for their locations and place a call directly to the site manager.
