So here is the story, a family member of mine spilt two jugs of oil on my driveway and without thinking tried to use a hose to clean it. Problem is you cannot spill the oil into the road drainage, and watering down the oil just spread it everywhere. So without thinking, this person though he could use normal sand to soak up everything and then shovel it back up and throw it out(cat litter would be the optimal choice but this person was unaware). However instead of buying normal sand this person mistakenly purchased Sakrete which is a sand concrete mix. Now this person used the sakrete, and while it got rid of the oil it has now left terrible white stains on my asphalt driveway. I need to know if there is anyway to remove these stains from the driveway? The stains look like the sakrete mixed with water and was smudged all over and then it dried. I know there are types of acid I could use, but I was hoping someone might have another idea as to how to go about with this.

Can you power wash it?

This.
A decent Pressure Washer will lift it up quite easily.
Asphalt is Oil-Based as it is, and concrete over oil will not stick.(Unless the Asphalt is ancient and grayed out!)

(30+ years in Construction, never had a problem removing concrete, mortar, etc. from Asphalt with a Pressure Washer.)

is there a glitch in the matrix, or has this thread happened before?

Similar, and it spawned the best parody thread I ever read from the PlaidFad(sp?). It was the canonical parody that should be consulted whenever anyone wants to make one themselves, but it obviously never is :^(

Edit:
Here it is kids. Read and learn. This is how a parody is supposed to be done.

spilt?

Awesome parody thready btw.

Spilled* bad habit. Anyway, I read that original and then the parody thread and I got a good laugh out of it.

I'm going to try the pressure washer today, this sakrete has had about a week to settle in so I'm hoping that it will still come out. If not, any other solutions?

I can't believe that was more than 2 years ago. I totally remember that, I even got sucked in on the parody. That thread deserves a lifetime achievement award, it's still one of the best threads ever on this board.

lol, that sounds like a comedy of errors.

At some point, david spade was yelling at some fat guy to soak up the oil, but the fat guy slipped on it and fell. The fat guy used to be Farley, but no suitable replacement has been found.

Just tear the fucking thing out and have a dirt driveway, problem solved, and you can spill anything you want from now on.
