Need to output from display port to HDMI

I have a msi 1060 which has a DVI,HDMI and display port. The HDMI is in use already being output to my UHD TV. I have a second HDTV I wanted to output to so I can watch shows on while I game. The question is, will this adapter allow me to do that? (can get it for $7.99 with promo code and free shipping)

And would it also carry audio? I'm ready to pull the trigger but I've never dealt with Display port or DP adapter before.

If your display port supports audio the adapter will give audio.

also remember while using audio through display port you must upgrade your video drivers for audio. The audio driver is in the video drivers.


edit: yes your gtx1060 has display port 1.4 which will give you audio through your display port.

I'd say its safe to hit the buy button.

bahhhhh in the Fry's promo email it said everything ships free next to the adapters place in the flyer. But now that i try to ad it to cart it says in store only. fml.

Most of those are mini DP or something cheaply made in China that takes a month to ship but thanks for the look.
