Need to mass clone SATA hds.. how?

trend

Senior member
Hey, I am looking to clone HDs for hundreds of computers.. maybe thousands. The HD connector is SATA.

What is the best way to clone this many HDs? Is there stand alone hardware that will do this? Or could I use Norton Ghost or something to clone multiple Hds at once?

thanks 🙂

AFAIK Ghost will work the best. If the HDs are in machines connect them together via ethernet. If you only have the hard drives, open a desktop and connect as many as you can inside the machine and image them.

There are also stand-alone machines designed to clone drives. Not cheap, but if your project is big enough, it might pay for itself.
