Need to send some stuff tomorrow for college applications to MA, NH, NY, and PA; I live in FL. Normally I'd send it USPS Priority and relax, but it's the holiday season, and basically all mailing services are going to suck hard right? Although from tomorrow until January 1st I've got about 5 business days for the documents to arrive, which carrier should I choose if I want to rest easy during my winter break?

just go USPS and priority with delivery confirmation. You should be fine especially since I think it only has to be postmarked by that day.

Yes I'd Fedex Ground it atleast... for their updated tracking

Priority Mail isn't Guraenteed... Maybe EMS... But Fedex is computerized...

USPS is basically manual... look at zip and sort type

The majority of college apps go to PO Boxes, where UPS or Fedex do not deliever.

You have 5 business days, first class should be fine.

Yes, but "supplemental" sh!t still has to be submitted through the mail. Transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.

So, USPS Priority w/DC?

I just put mine in the mail a few hours ago USPS. Only one college needs them by the first. I think it just needs to be postmarked by 1/1 anyways.

FedEx wants $9-11 per envelope to ship them FedEx Saver (3-day); will USPS Priority really be backed up that bad?

FedEX will deliver as promised. USPS is a joke.

Ship Priority - almost all schools look at the post mark not when it actually arrives...

WTF, you're sending your transcripts and LofR? Aren't those supposed to be sent by your school/teachers with an envelope seal?

I would just ship USPS... but, what school(s) are you applying to in PA?

UPenn

Figured. :)

How hard you think it'll be to get in? 1370 SAT (710 Writing), 33 ACT composite, no SAT subject test scores yet, around 3.9 unweighted GPA, it's probably something like 4.5 weighted.
