Need to Know...WHY??? and HOW to get rid???

Hi there,

I am using
MSI RS 482 Motherboard
AMD athlon 3500+
HDD - 40gb(primary), 100gb, 320gb = total of 460gb HDD
1 gb DDR RAM 400mhz

A week back everything was fine until i updated my xp with SP3. A day or 2 after that my comp start having problems. When ever i would start a program my mouse would act funny as when i moved it...it would stop for a sec and then move again....Also my sound would get distorted or u can say broken up when a new app was opening up or when my Kasper sky update these problem start up.....when i check the process in the task manager the CPU usage is 100%.....which i thinks didnt happen before.....i tried defraging, closing some process in the task manager window which were eating up too much process, also a admin friends said to increase the RAM which i increased it with 512....but no good result....so i thought a fresh installation should be the final resolution.... (( little did i know

Now, I have done a FRESH INSTALLATION....and the problem still exists.........above that i keep hearing a BEEP sound from the computer......can nyone tell me how i can get rid of all these problem????

I have already told what all step I have tried for getting rid of the problem.
If you have something which i havent tried and could help me out please let me know.

Almost sounds as if your computer is overheating. BIOS is beeping the internal PC speaker as a warning, and your lagging is caused by the CPU thermal throttling.

Maybe.

if that is so....the beep should be continuous....from the time its on....but it dosent...it just start and stop beeping when ever it want....

If this was a heating problem....it should start off the moment i start ma comp....Isn't that correct????

i checked the cpu fan and its working fine....what else can i do if this is a CPU thermal throttling problem.....I dont think it is though
