need to know now, would getting a used lg g4 be a wise choice?

btw going to apply for school. excited as hell. this is why i need a number. they are asking for it in the application

lg g4 is a great phone. As long as it is done and released from what ever contract it was under, you can do anything you want with it.

tbh i would be happy using this lg fuel as a phone. I just can't find the serial number so I can activate a number. Which one is it under about phone?

every phone gets some units that have boot loops.. usually cause you screwed with it, but sometimes it does it on its own.

This is a known hardware issue confirmed by LG. It has affected a large number of phones (mostly in with a serial number of 505xxxxxxxxxxx), see the XDA thread for details.

If you are happy with an LG Fuel then maybe you should just get a G3 or even a G2 and save some money!

Compared to a Fuel, there really isnt much difference between a G2 or a G4.

I had it. Great phone in every way, except it's missing a fingerprint sensor. I felt like it's not necessary until I tried the iPhone 6. That's when I knew a fingerprint scanner is not just a "gizmo" but a necessity.

Let CIA scan my prints and track me, but typing in your password or doing a pattern should stay in the past, where it belongs.

I've been fortunate enough so far to not have a bootloop on my G4. It's been a solid, reliable phone for me. Great pictures, great camera, good screen, battery life is great (doubly with swappable battery and external charger) feels awesome with a leather back. The DPI is set way way way too high, so the interface is huge (and a little ugly). Really my only big complaint. Aside from the obvious limitations of the SD808.
