Need to kill some time near LAX

I'm meeting my squeeze before she goes to pick up here boyfriend's mom at LAX tonight. She planned out about two hours to meet me, but she's already running late (of course). I need to meet her somewhere near LAX, and neither of us knows the area well. I'm looking for someplace where we can just hang out and talk for a while.

Ideas?

Manhattan and Hermosa Beaches are close by (~10min). There is a shooting range off Manchester and the 405. Nudie bars all around.

At least that's what I do when I'm around LAX.
