I divided my 160gb drive into 4 partitions (c-OS; d-applications; e-documents; f-backup), and I made the C: drive too small (10gb) and now it is slowly filling up with OS related files.

My seagate utility program won't let me increase the size of my C: drive because it's a boot partition. Is this possible with a different program withough having to format my D: drive? There's another thread that makes me scared of using Partition Magic.

Basically I would like to make the F: drive 10gb smaller, and the C: drive 10gb larger.

Thanks!

Partition Magic should be ok. The main thing to remember is - not to complicate matters.

Only do one operation at a time.
For instance - you want to increase the C drive.
1 - Decrease D drive
apply
2 - increase C drive
apply
sorted - remember to backup your important data anyway - in fact, for 10 gigs, it might even be worth your while ghosting it.

if it's OS only (no programs) 10 gigs should be plenty...check what programs someone installed that they didn't put to the programs partition..

Yes, 10gb was plenty at first (drive had about 2gb free after fresh install).

I only install applications and games to my D: drive, however, over time the C: drive still gets junk that I'm not in control of. Also, doesn't outlook express save all e-mail data/attachments onto your C: drive? I think that's what has been filling it.

Does anyone know if you can configure Outlook to save e-mail data somewhere other than the default C: folder? Should I consider moving my page file to another drive?
