Need to Implement Computer Simulation and Need Some IDEAS!

I have to implement a computer simulation on a transportation system or real-time system.
And complete it within 7 weeks.

So right now I have NO idea on what to do..
Can anybody give me some ideas on WHAT to make a simulation of?

Like what is the problem statement, what to simulate, and what goal should be acheived by the simulation.

Just throw some ideas and help me out!

If I'm reading the description right...

Simulate an airplane attempting to land in Chicago on a bad weather day.

Problem: Difficulty/danger of landing a plane in Chicago on poor weather days

Simulate: Simulate different weather conditions and different landing patterns for the plane to land.

Achivements: Figure out what paterns work best in what weather conditions, and what weather is/isn't landable in.

- Effects of traffic accidents.
- Effects of freeway merges/splits.
- Detours.
- Carpools.
- Etc.

Add in timed event like traffic lights.
Add in the effects of traffic volume on accident rates
Add in the effects of hov lanes on traffic
