Need to get a scene from a DVD

I was wondering if any of you can help me turn a scene from a DVD into an MPEG file on my hard drive. I was going to use this scene in a class presentation but I'm not sure how to do it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might be able to get away with a screen capture. Hit the print screen button, and then go into something like MS Paint and past the clipboard into the image, and it should be a shot of what was on your screen when you hit the Print Screen button. If that doesn't work I know that PowerDVD always you to capture stills from a DVD movie. Hope that helps!

I need to capture the video, not just a picture.

You should be able to find the right app at doom9.

You need to download a DVD ripper like smart ripper. TMPCeng and DVD2AVI to convert the vob file
