Need to get a DVD-Player

Jesus!! If you have that kind of money for a TV then you probably don't mind on spending a 1K for a DVD player. Check out the | Onkyo DV-S501 or the Sony DVP-S7000, or if you wanna go cheaper then get something like a Toshiba would work..

Dude, I got it for 1,500, yes pretty expensive but certainly not on the higher end of the TV spectrum. And, no I won?t spend 1,00 for a DVD player I was thinking of a Pioneer DV333, anyone try it? Opinions?

As for Toshibas I have heard they have problems with certain disks.

Ive heard good things about the Pioneer DV333, although ive never used it personaly. For the price I doubt you could go wrong with it.

Hi,

What kind of receiver do you have? Does it have built in DD/DTS decoding, or do you have a 5.1 ready set? Also, does your TV have component in video? Some DVD players have component out, though I'm not sure what kind of a difference it makes in the picture.

I always like getting stuff from the same manufacturer - the remotes are laid out similarly. I also like the Sony DVD player OSD's. Minor points - but things to consider. It's always better to spend a $100 more now and be really happy with what you have for the next couple of years. Best of luck.
