I've got a point of sale keyboard that is configured for use with my software, whereby certain keys are assigned certain values; however, on boot the keys are registering a space at the end of the key definition; but when I unplug and replug in the keyboard it works fine.

My question is this:
How can I refresh the keyboard bios programatically?

 
Nm, this problem has been resolved. It was a control code issue. I was able to reset the modifier when programming the keyboard, then sae the config file.
