Need to flash my bios, don't know how...

I have downloaded the flash utility from the website, but the instructions included with it have done nothing to help; they only describe how to do it with a floppy drive, which I do not have. I've searched the web but have been unable to find anything that isn't incredibly confusing to me. Would anyone be able to explain, or give me a link to a good guide?

Sorry, I wasn't entirely clear. I actually meant that I need help updating the bios too, but I am a total noob. I've never done this before, but all I've heard is that I can really screw things up if I don't know what I'm doing, so I just want to be careful.

Then... do not update it until you feel comfortable with the process!

Seriously!

BTW, why do you think that you need to update the BIOS? I've had nothing but problems with newer BIOS versions for my MB.

Again, read about the procedures, read your manual, and in a few days, or weeks (if necessary) you'll say: I'm ready!

Good luck!

Same as JustaGeek.

Only flash your BIOS if its going to offer an improvement or something you need. And definitely don't attempt it unless you feel you fully understand the process. Keep reading and researching.

If you are going to flash, double-check and triple-check that you have the exact right BIOS for your board and any revision number for the board.

If you do it wrong you'll have a dead board.
