Need to find this kind of MP3 Encoder that supports...

I need to have a mp3 encoder that encodes in realtime from linein. So say, I plug my FM receiver in linein, now I would want it to encode the linein directly into mp3. You can record it as a wav easily, but it would just be impossible to record for a long time because it gets so big. Any suggestions on what I can use?

Which means it finishes encoding before it actually receives the signal. 😛
 
It really depends on your system, but LAME is pretty fast. If not, you might have to go with the crappy Xing encoder which I believe is the fastest around.
 
How about Musicmatch jukebox? I know it's not as good quality as Lame, but it's really not that bad and encodes pretty damn fast.
