I have an old computer with Windows ME installed. I need to export its Outlook Express e-mails to my new computer, but the Outlook Express export software just wanders off and never completes.
I don't want to re-install Windows ME as it took me several days to get it installed in the first place. That is a nightmare I would prefer to not re-visit.
If I knew the name of the software module that needs to be re-loaded, I would do that, but I don't know the name of the correct module. Even if I did know the name of the correct module, I would also need to know how to go about extracting it from the CDROM.
I am desperate enough to even buy a software package that would do this for me.
Some people have suggested just copying the files to my zip drive and then copying from the zip drive into my new computer. Since Windows ME files are named *.mbx and Windows 2000 on my new computer uses *.dbx, I would doubt that just copying would suffice, it looks as though there would an incompatibility problem.
Your kind help is deeply appreciated.
