Are there any freeware solutions to editing and saving PDF files? I need to fill out some applications and then print them out, but I would like to save it for future purposes. Are there any freeware solutions to Adobe Acrobat Pro? Thanks in advance.

Nothing free is going to come close to Acrobat Pro. Otherwise Adobe would have gone out of bussiness a long time ago. Writing apps like that takes a lot of work, so your gonna pay for it.

BUT, I do believe I've seen some freeware that'll do basic stuff. Try cnet.download.com or MajorGeeks.com.
Also some photo editing suites may work. I remember Corel Draw 8 or 9 could do some things with PDF's.

One (very complex) freeware solution is to download pdf2html, which needs ghostscript. That HTML file, you can load into Word or OpenOffice or whatever. Edit and design as you please, and then use a PDF printer (Such as FreePDFXP, which also uses ghostscript, or the built-in pdf support in OpenOffice).
But yeah, Acrobat is easier to use.
