Ok, basically I got a new hard drive and want to migrate everything to it so that I can boot off it, run all programs off it, etc. I tried looking for utilities to do this but it seems that most just back things up by creating a file or a "restore" image. What's the easiest way to just move or copy all the files currently on my computer, file for file, to a new HD? Total noob question I know but I don't feel like experimenting with programs. I just want the most efficient way.

Thanks in advance!

Especially if you're dealing with SATA drives.

However ......... most, if not all drive manufacturers have software at their websites that will do the job. You really have nothing to lose by trying. If you're careful.

If your drive is retail, it came with a disk containing a program to copy your old drive. If it's a bare (oem) drive, you can download the program from the maker's website.

Thanks guys - I ended up getting Acronis because I have SATA drives. However, I am using a SATA RAID setup with 2 Raptor drives that WIndows sees as one logical drive. I want to image the contents of my other drives onto this one logical drive. However the Acronis software sees them as 2 individual drives. Any ideas? Thanks again.
