Here is my build below. With my current case, it is taking up a huge amount of space, and I would like to get it moved off the floor, on the rest, but also shrink the size by a lot. Any suggestions on a case that looks nice, even has a clear panel on the side and I can put on my desk? I can get rid of the Blu-Ray and use an external if needed. Never used it much anyways.

If you want a smaller case, get a smaller motherboard. Tons of mini itx and micro atx builds. I went with micro atx because I wasn't happy with most of the mini itx cases. Any of them that were shorter were just as much wider. The only tower form factor case was EVGA and it had many issues. I went with a micro atx from corsair that has been great.

This is how it looks compared to my speakers and monitor (29" UWS).

That looks nice. Well, buying a motherboard, I might as well upgrade from my 4700k series processor then. Was hoping I could get a while longer without doing that.

the problem is a full sized ATX board makes small cases very difficult.
not to mention the 1kw psu isnt helping things either.

have you considered a regular define instead of a XL?
they are a bit smaller, but i dont think they are as small as you want.
