need to design a launcher.......

with a 20 dollars budget, what is the best balloon launcher you can think of?? OK, so for my engr class, I need to build something taht will be able to launch a waterbaloon about 50 yards away, and land into a bucket. Right now, I"m still deciding on ideas. The only thing I can think of is to make a slingshot. But that will just lose creativity points.

potato cannon with a buffer of some sort to keep the baloon whole? Powered by compressed air for consistancy.

Balloon launcher slingshot was my first guess. i made one what would toss a balloon over 100 yards in high school. took 3 cars to power it though

I was launching water balloons left and right with a potato gun powered by the usual hairspray this summer. You need to slick it down with dishsoap first, though...

Attach an air ballon opened with a pinhole to a cardboard airplane. you would have super airtime, but little accuracy
