Need to cool down

I'm planning to try overclocking again soon, but i'm going to need some additional cooling thing inside my case. My comp's temperatures are pretty high, even with the AS2 on, it's running at like 50c when i'm just surfing the net and doing other normal computer things. I have 2 exhaust fans on the top of the backside, and 1 intake fan on the lower front. Everything is at default now, so when i raise the Vcore, which i'll have to do, they're going to get even higher, so i guess i'm going to need something else in there... just not sure what.
What should i be looking at? I don't what anything too expensive or noisy.

Thermalright has the SLK-900 that is VERY good, but it costs $50 as is probably more than you wanted to pay for just a heatsink. I dunno about any other heatsinks because I use AMD. I use the SLK-800 on my 2400+ and it does an amazing job (<42C at load), so I'm partial to Tr.

For fans though, definitely look at a YS-Tech adjustable fan. Puts out 45-55 CFM depending on the model and they are usually very quiet and highly recommended for reliability.

Ice... Lots and lots of Ice! 😀 I am getting ready to build almost your exact system and also would be very interested on what the forum veterans have to say on this?

Just a thought, it seems that your CPU is running a bit too hot at 50c when not at full load.

Let the knowledgable speak!

For the 2400+ system, what are your other case fans and what are you using for your HS fan. I currently have my SLK-800 on a XP 1700+ with the clear turbo cool fan that came with my Chieftec DX-01BD (Antec SX1030 clone). The only other fans are my NB fan and my two PSU fans. I'm getting 51 load with case temps of 34.

HS Fan:
Y S TECH 80x80x25mm, TWO Ball Bearings, Case Fan, DC 12V, 3.12W 3700 RPM 48.5 CFM 37dBA 4 Pin Pass-thru connector, Model#: FD1281259B-2N -OEM
$6 at Newegg

Case Fans (2 intake, 1 exhaust):
SUNON 80x80x25mm, Ballbearing, Case Fan, DC 12V, 2.1W, 2900 RPM, 39.0 CFM, 4-pin. MODEL: KD1208PTB2 Model#: KD1208PTB2
$6 at Newegg

Then of course I have another exhaust fan in my power supply to make it almost equal, 2 in - 2 out. I'm not sure about that Sunon listing at Newegg, the prices are kind of wacko when I looked at it saying it cost more to buy in bulk than it did to buy individually. I don't know what they're really trying to say. I ended up getting them for $5 each because I bought a lot of them at once for multiple computers.

Thanks, I was just checking if my SLK-800 was performing up to par.
