ok computer guys and gals - I'm running Vista SP1 (ultimate flavor). I have an external HD, 320gb (WD Passport).
It originally came formatted FAT32, I for whatever reason reformatted to NTFS.
NOW, I'd like to sell it and revert it back to FAT32. Is there a way or no?
1. I've tried going into COMPUTER/MANAGE/DISKS and delete the partition (1 part 320gb), recreating, then FORMAT.. Only options shown are NTFS and exFAT. That one is out.
2. I've gone into file explorer and clicked on the drive, selected FORMAT.. same deal..
Am I gonna have to ship NTFS on this? The utilities that I copied back on from when it was new are for FAT32 and will be useless.
hmm. Thoughts are appreciated.
