Need to connect older PC to Wireless Network

I read in another thread that the D-Link DI-524 works well as an access point.

Can the D-Link DI-524 also be used as a Wireless Ethernet Bridge?
It is 802.11g capable, and can be had at a very good price.

I am told that many good Access Points can be used as bridges.

In other words, I need to connect the NIC port on an older PC to my wireless network. I can buy a Wireless Ethernet Bridge, but they are a bit pricy. I could also by a Wireless USB adaptor, but they are very single dimensional in there usability.

I would rather buy a piece of equipment that could be used for other purposes as well.

No idea if the DI-524 is client-capable, but the Linksys WRT54G is perfectly capable of being run as a client. I'm doing it now, courtesy of the gentleman Here
No need for WDS, either. Theoretically it's pretty simple, it just took me a lot of tweaking to get them to play properly. The firmware update (we use Sveasoft firmware) is pretty easy and it maintains the same Linksys graphical HTTP interface.
I got my WRT54G from Walmart for $60. Not bad when my first wired four-port Linksys router was $100 in 2001 and my D-Link DI-624 was $100 9 months ago.
