Alright, I wanna save money but I want some really nice visuals. Geforce FX 5900 Ultra or Radeon 9800 Pro? With the Geforce FX I would definitely want 256MB but with the Radeon? Is it really going to make that much difference. Set my mind at ease with some numbers or benchmarks please.

geez, how many of these threads are we gonna have???

the truth of the matter is you are not gonna see a noticable difference between 200 and 220 FPS so you might as well get the one with better image quality which is the 9800 pro

with 9800 pro, DEFINATELY 128. there is very little difference between 128 and 256 between with the 9800 pro. some people will tell you that the 256 will be put to use in future games but the DOOM III benchies no very little difference betweeen 128 and 256

Bad part about your suggestions is that Radeon 9800 Pro is $399.00 and the Geforce FX 5900 Ultra Asus V9950 is $464.00 at accupc.com. Thats really a huge performance differnce for $64.00.

Comparing retail price to online price. There's something you don't see every day.

yeah, since i'm in CA i bought a built by ATi 9800 pro RETAIL from NJ. came out to 349 with shipping and all. if you dont live in CA you can grab a gigabyte 9800 pro for $310 at newegg with free shipping. $154 difference big enough for you 🙂?

Buy the ATI version if you are planning to buy GeForce FX 5600 Ultra+

You cannot stand w/ those noise (produced by the Nvidia graphic card)while you are sleeping
