Need to capture TV

I want to setup a computer so that it can capture TV at a certain time (at least once a week), and record it to a movie file on a harddrive (like TiVo). Does anyone have any advice on what equipment I should get, and how to set it up?

I currently have a Gainward GF3 with VIVO and a Samsung 170MP LCD that has a TV-tuner built-in. Can I use this existing equipment to capture video?
Or should I just get an ATI TV-Wonder VE since they're so cheap now?

I don't know anything about using the TV tuner on the LCD monitor.

I do have an ATI TV Wonder and use it to record TV shows. It so far has worked really well. There is a real decent scheduling app included with ATI MMC 7.1. It offers many options for recording TV shows including bitrate and all that. I encode using mpeg2, and a half hour show is ~2 gigs. I have a ton of HD space, so it isn't a problem.

The only thing I don't like about it is that after it records, the TV does not shut off. Not a huge issue, more of an annoyance.

The picture quality is very acceptable on my system, though I'm not a huge TV picture quality nut.

Alright great, thanks. I hope my 90GB RAID will be enough for more than a few shows :)
