my friend needs just (1) 100 foot cable, nothing for business just home use. anyone know any site that sells cables at a good price?

i 2nd monoprice - i have bought long vga, opitcal, ps/2 and hdmi from them and and all are very good. i have a spool of cat5e sitting here so i make my own cables but if i didn't i woud go monoprice for them too
 
No it wasn't meant as a joke I used them when I wired my basement with Cat6 cable.

250ft of Cat6 for $32.95.

Good quality crimp tool (is actually is good quality too)
Cable tester (yeah I know just a continuity tester not a big deal)

The pricing I provided was meant to show YOU that the pricing there is good. I didn't specificially check 100' lengths but thought that since I found a good buy there for my network cable needs it might be a good place to look for the OP as well. It was a suggestion.

And your "Is that site a joke?" comment WAS meant to be derogatory. You can admit that can't you?

If you were only looking to warn the OP that the site was not good then you could have simply said "the prices on that site don't appear to be so competitive."

Although I don't post a lot I have been here since the beginning, since before this version of the boards and I guess I rememeber there being more of a "family type" atmosphere.
