Need to buy some wall jacks... where do you recommend?

Looking to wire up the place im buying. Where do you recommend I get wall jacks from?

The one room with the router is going to have 8 wall jacks that run the cable all over the house. Id like a nice 4 in 1 or 8 in one block. Can these be bought? I also need one double or triple jack and then the 5-6 single jacks. What would you recommend? The cable I'm getting is gigabit rated.

I you are looking to buy locally then try Home Depot or Lowes. Prices really aren't too bad. I got most of mine there... they rest I got from work.

Gigabit rated might mean cat 5e or cat 6. Find out what it is because the jacks are different for each of them so you will know what to buy.

I got my 12 port patch panel on eBay. It was around $40.

The biggest compact faceplates hold 6 jacks. Get two, and run your phone line and cable into the remaining holes, and blank off the rest. Home Depot sells Leviton. It will work as well as any. Expect to pay $4~5 per item, be it a faceplate or jack.
Mount the flaceplates in caddy fasteners, or some other old-work low voltage box.
