If you're insecure enough to need to spend all that extra cash on an overpriced iPod just in the hopes of impressing somebody, spend it on counseling instead. Try the Treo 15. A third of the price of the iPod, similar size, not quite as cool, but just as good sound quality. And as a bonus, it's got a user-replacable battery so that you don't have to throw it away if/when the battery croaks. Nice design there Apple.

Do you have this Treo 15? Do you use it in movement vigorous workouts or anything with alot of movement just wondering how it holds up seeing as it uses a HD like the Ipod and wondering if it could cause failure?

Why not? I have a Zen, and it seems pretty durable.

Because I have a flash based one that is incredibly small and will not skip.

Rio S (10/35/or50) the s10 is great. Comes with only 64MB but with the latest firmware you can use a SD card up to 512 MB. So throw a 256MB SD card in there and you got 320MBs and that's plenty for working out.

kruger,

Can you point me out where it talks bout the latest firmware allowing you to use up to a 512 Mb SD card? Im on their site and I am not finding that anywhere 😀 Sir, if you are correct im gonna go buy me one of them their thing a' majiga's

EDIT: I think u mean MMC cards not sure 😕

Nope. MMC cards are what it originally used, but those only go up to 128MB, firmware 1.6 which was released about a month or 2 ago allows the use of SD cards as well, and has been tested up to 512MB cards. ftp://ftp.diamondmm.com/pub/rio/RioS/RioSSeries_firmware_160.txt
the latest is 1.62 which fixes problems with SD cards some users were having.
ftp://ftp.diamondmm.com/pub/rio/RioS/
also gotta update the MM software if that's what you're using
this is for all S series units, i only know about the s10 first hand though. all 3 are great i'm sure.
