Ok, so I need to replace my razr I dropped. I have an older phone that I got during my first contract that I'm using currently, only the ringer doesn't work....
I'm currently with Cingular.
Anyhow, a few questions:
1. I need a GSM phone correct?
2. I can buy either a phone that's locked to Cingular, or an unlocked phone, correct?
3. A long time ago I bought a used phone somewhere, but when I went to activate it, the previous owner apparently didn't pay their bill, so I couldn't activate it. Do I need to worry about this nowadays, or is it tied to the SIM/Person and not the phone? If it's tied to the phone, how can I check before I buy? (If that's even possible?)
