Need to buy a new internal DVD player

I'm in the market for a new DVD drive and would love some pointers. Any suggestions on good drives? I'm always looking for bang for the buck. Thanks
 
I assume a DVD-writer? Probably might as well considering the prices.

If that's the case...my trusty Samsung SH-S183L is always my recommendation for SATA
 
Get a NEC 7170A burner from Newegg. Then install Liggy&Dee's firmware on it (you can get the firmware from the CDFreaks forums).
 
Sorry, that was dumb. I'm looking for a new DVD burner...I need it to be IDE, since I'm out of SATA ports for the near term.
