Need to buy a compass (Details inside)

looking at getting a nice, antique like compass, for a centamental gift for the gilfriend...want to get a nice engraving on it...but need to find out where i can get a cool, real, not digital or anything like that compass....

anyone have any ideas....any places i might have some luck....think a jewlery store would have something like that ???
