Hello,

Building two computers and need 2 video cards.
Fist computer I want a better video card for Internet and a few games. Second just need to be a good video card. Would like both to be very stable. I will be running Win 2000.

First card I'm looking at is a ATI Radeon LE. Question is what is a good manufacture or is ATI the ony one who makes this card?

Second card I'm considering is a ATI Xpert 2000 Rage 128 32MB 2X AGP is this a good card? It's a good price and all I really want is a decent 32meg video card.

Let me know your thoughts or ideas.

Thanks

For the first, I'd recommend the Matrox G400.

For the second, either a Voodoo5, or a GTS/GTS pro/GF2u.

Deeko: I think you have it the other way arround: GeForce cards = Great Gaming, G400 = Great Workstation card (Actually, Amazing in my opinion).

zman6911, no I don't. He said he wants something for the internet(2D), and some games, Matrox has the best 2D. The second he said he wanted a good, stable card in Win2K. That's where the GTS family or the V5 come in. I don't recommend the Radeon for the second card because some people have trouble with their Win2K drivers.

Radeon 32DDR!!! $88 Just bought one. Great card. Playes UT with everything on and on high. 1024x768 and 32bit. 70fps in UT and smooth.

EDIT!!!! Opps. Not a good card for Win2K yet I hear. Sorry.

What's the deal with the Radeon cards and Win2K? Driver problems?

Will the cards work in win2K at all?

They work. Some people say the drivers aren't great though. Some people say they are fine. I just wouldn't risk it.
