As mentioned in the title I am looking at building a system to use for editing video that I capture from a game. OR upgrading my current system (read below) with maybe a Matrox card for the editing work.

AMD 1800+
ECS K7S5A Pro
512 DDR 2700
PNY ti4400
80 HD
60 HD
Enermax case with 400W Enermax power supply

ANy advice would be appreciated. My budget is kind of open, but not to the moon, lol!

Thanks in advance for any responses.

sorry i have no help for ya , but if you don't mind , what program are you using to capture game video ?
thanks and good luck

The game we are editing is Nascar Racing 2003. The capture proggie is called Movie Studio Xp and it might be open source code, but at this point it only works with GPL or N2003.

Hope that helps ya.

FYI - There are rumors that you can "trick" the application hook at start up of the proggie to recognize other games. Good luck in your efforts.
