Need to block Kazaa and IMESH

Hey guys, living at university with a few roomates and we'll all on a DSL Connection via a 3com Router. Now there are 4 computers connected and I know they all just leave Imesh and Kazaa on and suck up my bandwidth, especially when they are uploading to people. I guess what I was thinking is that I could block the upload ports on the rouyer for the 4 thus saving precious bandwidth. Anyone know what ports I would have to close in order to acheive this?

The router's NAT should have settings for this. Check the manual.

You need to have a router that can do port filtering or better yet, bandwidth throttling. I doubt you do since they cost more to have those kinds of features. Best thing to do is talk with your Roomies and explain the problem. Also, maybe show them THIS to deter anymore downloading.

and my $25 dlink router has ip and port filtering available, good router this one (di-604)

have a plan ready for when they bitch about you kicking kazaa in the nuts

of course, kazaa should have a option to limit the bandwidth for uploads iirc, check that, make it very very slow and let it be. why would the roomates care how fast they upload anything?
