Need tips on studying

Stay far away from the computer as possible. Really, it helps. Even though it's like saying sarcasitcally "LOG OFF OF ATOT NOW." It helps a lot.

Easiest way to memorize is to talk to yourself, do about 5 facts, repeat the facts, and move on. Then after you think you've memorized, do another 5 facts, and then combine the 2, and keep moving on.

big biology test tomorrrow, 50% of grade, im already failing that class so i need any tips on studying.

Log off of ATOT now! 😛

Ideally you should be studying a bit everyday. Much easier to digest the material in small chunks instead of cram sessions.

actually i pay attention to that class everday since i know im bad at it. but stuff doesnt register.. for somereason i can sleep in geometry and pass with over 100%...

btw i did log off ATOT and all it did was get me to watch Las Vegas...back to studying

Going to the library has always helped me. Or even a quiet room on campus (I'm in university). As long as I'm away from my damn computer, I can get work done.

I would give you some pointers, but right now, I'm supposed to be studying for a test as well.

And I'm supposed to be preparing for a 10 minute presentation tomorrow. Haven't gotten past the 3rd slide.

If it's that bad pull the ethernet cable out of your PC, pull the power plug on TV. That's the best advice anyone can give you.

As for actual studying, it depends on the person, do what works best for you. However I'm gonna say this, one night is not enough to prepare for the test.

Some people aren't cut out for the sciences. I LOATHE chemistry. But I hat Bio even more so I took chem in college...I passed with a C barely....I think just because the prof liked me.

I did well in geometry in HS without even paying much attention but Algebra 2 started getting to me.

History and English I excel at and I actually did really well in Physics...we had some new state test we took my senior year and I did like really really well on it.

Math sucks for me though since I'm dyslexic...I switch numbers around and it really screws me up.

1. Don't cheat.
2. Turn off all connections with the world (cell phone, unplug your phone, computer, tv, EVERYTHING).
3. Do NOT find a comfortable area for you to study in (i.e. bed), instead study at a table.
4. STUDY as much as your can, read but make sure you understand what your reading - you have to be very focused, don't concentrate anywhere else.
5. Do well on your test. 🙂

technically im a year ahead (taking biology honors in freshman year).. but i really dont wanna take this crap again

back to studying

yea really...also cramming is not a good plan either. Break it down and repetition are important in learning.
