Need tips on SCSI HDD

Is it easy to setup a SCSI hard drive? I'm thinking of getting an adapter (is there a mobo with integrated SCSI adapter?) and SCSI HDD just to experiment on it. But I have no experience with them.
Is there anything I should be aware of? which one shall Ig et?
