you have 2 sides: the one with the "angled and solid" turn down, and the one that has the loose clamp on it.
Hook up the solid end first
Now with your left hand holding the sink to balance it, get a pair of bent needle pliers and clip the other end on.
YES, it is HARD to get on.

Might wanna take the clip and bend it back and forth about 20 times, that should make it easier (that's what I did, and it works fine :))

It might be a pain but take the board out of the case and its much eaiser to install. Also less chance of breaking the core on the CPU if your not careful. What I did was hook the latch on the end and use wide screw driver with a big handle and GENTLE push down the other end, this way you have more leverage. Then I took a small screw driver with a narrow head with the other hand and helped out by pushing clip out some so it would lock into place. Its much eaiser then it sounds, But after doing it alot it because pretty easy. :)

Good Luck

Thanks Viperoni. I was putting it on with the solid clip first, but it just felt like the chip was going to come out the other side of the case with all the pressure that I was putting on by trying to get it on at first. I did bend it a few times, then I just pushed down on the loose clamp with a screwdriver and guided it with needle-nose pliers. I even had to unplug the motherboard power connector. Hope all that work was worth the extra temp drop.:)

Alright, now I've got another question. Where do I hook the fan up to on the mb? I see that there are two fan headers below the main power connector. I don't have my manual here at work, so which one do I use: the left one or the right one?

doesn't matter. they both will work. only difference is that one will show up as CPU fan and the other system fan (or something similar) in the BIOS. Try one, check the BIOS and change if necessary. :)

What I did was I took the fan off the HS and then took the clamp and kept bending it until it would fit snuggly but not tightly on the chip.
