Hey all .. So I've been using that laptop for just over a year and I think my laptops asking for some cleaning .. I also have plans to maybe sell off this laptop and get a newer machine .. I plan to clean it as much as possible so that it looks almost new, if possible ..

So the following are some pictures of my laptop .. Kindly suggest to me what supplies I would need for the cleaning and what procedures I should follow .. Please don't simply refer me to some generalized Youtube video regarding laptop cleaning as such videos don't address all aspects of cleaning .. For example, how do I clean the speaker section just above the media bar buttons (this whole panel of little dots) ..

Thanks in advance people ..

If you can completely disassemble the system, and get that speaker bar off, then you can blow compressed air through it.

Compressed air on the heatsinks and fans, alcohol swabs and magic erasers for everything else.

Here's what I usually do with a laptop like that.

- Use a brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner to clean all over and pick up loose particulates.

- Use can of duster to blow out any remaining loose particulates especially in the keyboard.

- Use a small paint brush with soft bristles to clean the areas you can't get to with the above.

- Use eyeglass cleaner (I use Walmart/SAM'S) with a soft cotton cloth like an old T-shirt that has been washed with no fabric softener to clean all over. You can spray the cleaner on surfaces where it will not leak inside. Otherwise, spray the cleaner on the cloth then wipe thoroughly. The eye glass cleaner will leave a nice fresh smell also.
