Need thoughts about a possible upgrade

I know we will be buying a 6800 GT but I am not sure if I should also upgrade him to a DFI Lanboy nforce3250 board with an AMD64 3000+ newcastle chip

I highly suggest doing that upgrade. Not doing so would mean serious bottleneck and a waste of money on the GT's side. Though, I suggest getting a 3500 A64 instead of a 3000, absolutely worth it.
