Hi all,

I have a Radeon 9700 with dual monitors...I'd like to play some of my games in a dual monitor setup but I'm having a heck of a time getting any of them to even come close to recognizing the fact that I have two monitors.

The Hydravision program doesn't seem to be much help, it's only applying itself to the open windows, not the games that are running full screen on one of the monitors.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get some of these to work?

Short list:

Battlefield 1942
UT2003
Soldier of Fortune II
No One Lives Forever 2
Tribes 2

That's a good start. :)

Thanks!

Oh,

I was under the impression that there was a way to get it to work since they work with the Matrox card for surround gaming.

They're all on the list.

Thanks, though.

Just a question: Why would you want to have those games on 2 monitors? They're all shooters, so you'd have your screen separated in 2 and would be forced to stare at the monitors' borders in the middle of your image. I don't know, I'm just trying to picture this, and I'm thinking it'd give me a headache after 30 seconds... :)

Matrox's surround gaming is different since you have 3 monitors. You stare at the middle one, and the others are just in your peripheral vision.

Serious Sam 2 supports dual monitor. I'd imagine that it'd either allow you to have the sniper zoomed in one one screen and have your full view in the other, but I dunno. I'd think that the most useful use for such a setup would be 2d hud elements in one window and full screen in the other. In strategy games, I could think of a million uses. :D
