I'm taking helicopter lessons and I would like to get a simulator to play on my computer when I'm not up in the air. Does anybody have any reccomendations for a simulator that is as close to flying a real helicopter as you can get? I have played Commanche 4 and that is a joke. Does anybody know if MS Flight Sim 2004 has helicopters in it?

There's a few other pilots on the forum. Grasshopper & others talk about it occassionally in Off Topic. Maybe you should PM them, or ask in OT.

Not that I condone posting threads in the inappropriate forum.

Yes, fs2004 would be a great help - its a great learning tool. Get yourself a yolk/rudder pedals and you'd be set (I'll have mine for sale in F/S/T in a few days).

Longbow 2 is supposed to be very accurate. Not sure if anything better has come out since then.

Wow, X-Plane looks really really cool, I'm probably gonna buy that and give it a whirl. I need to look into Longbow 2 still.
