I need a technical diagram of like..the box on the wall that you plug your ethernet cable into. the cables/wiring inside of this, and how it connects to your ethernet cable. it would also help if anyone knows where i can find an explanation of the purpose of each wire. this is for some technical writing assignment on just explaining in words how something at the university works.

Not all keystones will use the same scheme. You need to look at the little diagram on the jack itself.
 
well i can't exactly take that apart..so just something general will be fine (the prof. isn't going to know..he does english)
