Need Suggestions

I am building a new gaming computer and need some insite into the following options. Would it be usefull to build this type of computer (gaming) and use either Raid-0 or possibly SCSI? Would I really see any increase in overall performance or speed? Would it be worth the extra expense? And lastly, can anyone suggest a good combination of MB and Processor so I can have a baseline to choose from? The only part that I currently have is a Lian Li PC-60 Aluminum Case so I am open to just about anything... 😉

well IDE RAID or SCSI would be a performance increase but neither are probably worth it. what they will affect (as far as gaming) is when the game is loading up, you know, when you hear your hard drive thrashing around when you enter a level or whatever. but once it's all loaded up, the game will hardly touch your hard drive, basically meaning it's not gonna give your more fps or anything like that.

for a mobo, the Epox ones seem very popular, the 8KHA+ or 8K7A+, i dont remember which.
