I have the following spare parts which I would like to piece together a system used for file sharing and perhaps a gaming server i.e.. CS, UT2004

System specs
MB: Aopen AX34-U (ATX, up to 1.4 Celeron or 1.2 PIII, 133 FSB, 1.5 GB PC133, AGP 4X)
Current CPU: Intel PIII 1.0B GHz 256k cache
Current Ram: 160mb PC100
PSU: Antec 300w
HDD: Western Digital WD1200JB 8mb cache
DVD-ROM: Pioneer S-106
NIC: 3Com 3C905

I have plugged in my ATI 9700 Pro in the system just to see if it works which it does boot.
The main part I need is a Video card (4x AGP) since that is the only piece I need to get the system working. However I would like to upgrade to at least 512mb of Ram up to 1GB.
And finally I need a case to tie everything together. I would prefer a ATX desktop case so I can place the monitor on top of the system to save space. But a mid-tower would be fine.

Any suggestions would be truly appreciated! Thanks!

Sounds like you don't need a 3d card at all really if it's just going to be a server application.

You can probably just get the cheapest 4x AGP card you can find.
Something like a radeon 7000 should work fine for you. I'm sure you could find something cheaper if you hunted around. (FS/FT forum too)

I don't know much about desktop cases, but I like Antec's line a lot for affordable quiet cases. They're an even better deal when you need a powersupply too, but I see you have one already :)
I'm not sure if this would be overkill for you, but I like the SLK 3000-b with it's 120mm fan capability and good build quality.

On the ram, too bad you don't need some DDR pc3200 as pc100/pc133 is about twice as expensive for a 512mb stick :(
