i'm leaning towards DFI, should i ge tthe sli-d or sli-dr?

also i heard valuerams will do the trick, but is it better to oc your memory (1:1) when ocing the cpu?

so far i hav:

3000 winchester CBBHD
500 watt ttgi
x300se (i will soon get 6800gt's, don't worry)
200 gb seagate barracuda
dvd/cd+rw

edit: TEH pentium guy.

I believe he prefers AMD now...

Better memory will be faster (especially when you overclock). However, it is for you to decide if the few percent performance increase is worth it to you. Read a few benchmarks and see how much of a difference there is...

lol i was just kidding

really now, do most of you venice/winchester owners use valueram or spend on performance rams? i've read the benchmarks already, but i just want to see what most people go with.

I believe that AMD64 systems are not picky about RAM- in terms of CAS latency not being a big deal. You could get away with the value ram, I recommend Corsair or Geil...
